This is one of the many stopovers the Donner party made on the Oregon Trail. Let the record show that the Annie party stayed here also. Nothing much more to see here than the historical marker, but, if it were 5 o’clock, I would’ve camped here for the night. Lovely place. And, making it even lovelier, is that it is only about 30 feet away from a train track, a single train track at that, which is one of my earliest memories.
