In an hour, we will be reaching independence Missouri again, where the Donner party trail started when we were heading west. We are going to trace their trail from Springfield to independent Missouri, but going in the reverse direction. With chips help, we were able to reconstruct the high likely trail that they took, which no one else has done. Somewhere along that trail we will bivouacfor the night.
